Chronic hepatitis B affects more than 250 million patients and is a major public health concern worldwide. HBsAg plays a central role in maintaining HBV persistence, and as such, therapies that aim at reducing HBsAg through destabilizing or degrading HBV RNA have been extensively investigated.
