Value-added evaluation study based on regression analysis

Student assessment is an important part of educational assessment, and value-added assessment is an assessment system that has been gradually developed in recent years, but student value-added is influenced by factors such as basic achievement. Theoretically, student value-added tends to regress to the center, and the empirical analysis also found a significant linear relationship between student value-added and basic grades. This paper first uses regression analysis to determine the quantitative relationship between student value-added and basic rank, and then uses the "residual", also known as the difference between the original value-added and the regression value, to propose a value-added evaluation model for teaching classes based on regression analysis to achieve value-added evaluation at the student and teacher levels, which complements the evaluation system.
