This work proposes the design and development of a smart rehabilitation band that integrates biosensors with advanced features, wireless communication, and therapeutic assistance. The proposed system includes a blood pressure sensor with the ability to measure systolic, diastolic, and pulse values in real time, therefore allowing for continuous monitoring of a patient's vital signs. A Global System for Mobile Communication module is used for sending automated alerts in cases of physiological abnormalities to the healthcare provider for immediate medical response. An OLED display on the wearable facilitates the live visualisation of health parameters directly by the user, therefore fostering better user engagement and motivating patients toward their rehabilitation process. The therapeutic mode in the smart band leads patients through exercises of wrist movements that are vital for physical recovery. The architecture includes an Arduino Nano (Atmega328P) that will handle the operation of sensors and motors, and the ESP32 module that will provide wireless connectivity for seamless wireless transmission of data. This architecture uses a two-controller system to enable efficient sharing of tasks and ensure reliable communication with external monitoring platforms. The proposed smart band combines continuous physiological monitoring, real-time alerts, and interactive rehabilitation assistance to offer a comprehensive solution for post-surgical recovery. It is particularly useful i...
