This study investigates how curriculum creation and instructional planning in higher education are affected by Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) assessments. Understanding how assessment data might influence instructional practices is essential as SEL abilities - such as self-management, self-awareness, relational skills, social awareness, and responsible decision-making become more widely acknowledged for their importance in student achievement. This study investigates patterns in emotional and social abilities, pinpoints gaps, and considers how these understandings might improve and guide curriculum design by examining SEL assessment data from college students. The results show how SEL assessment can be used to build more accommodating and encouraging learning environments, which will eventually promote academic success and all-around student development. Key findings show how incorporating emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills into academic programs can use SEL evaluation to build more supportive and responsive learning environments. The study also looks at how SEL data may direct the creation of co-curricular activities, support services, and targeted involvements that cater to the needs of certain students.
