Agri-PV Suitability and Peak Electricity Potential for Central Asia

作者:Florian Betz, Kedar Mehta, Magdalena Lauermann · 发表于:Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research) · 年份:2026 · DOI:10.5281/zenodo.21458888 · 研究领域:Geography、Environmental science、Remote sensing、Meteorology

This spatial dataset consists of three raster files: "CentralAsia_AgriPV_Suitability.tif" gives the suitability of any location across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan to be suitable for the establishment of Agri-PV systems. The criteria include land cover, irridation, distance to the electricity grid, slope, and maximum annual air temperature. Values range from 0 to 1, with 0 being not suitable and 1 being the perfect Agri-PV location. "CentralAsia_AgriPV_Suitability_Binary.tif" is a reclassified version of the suitability raster giving values of 0 (not suitable for Agri-PV) and 1 (suitable for Agri-PV). The raster "CentralAsia_PeakElectricityPotential.tif" is derived from SolarGIS and gives the peak electricity potential in GWh/GWp. All datasets are in a spatial resolution of 1 km and are in geographic coordinates (WGS84, EPSG 4326). Full information can be obtained from Mehta et al. (in prep).
