ABSTRACT Aqueous Zn‐based batteries (AZBs) are promising energy‐storage systems owing to their intrinsic safety, low cost, and environmental compatibility. Although conventional zinc foil anodes benefit from well‐established manufacturing processes, they are limited by poor design flexibility and thickness‐dependent energy density constraints. In contrast, Zn powder (ZnP) anodes offer excellent structural tunability, processing flexibility, and compatibility with large‐scale production, providing a more attractive alternative to traditional zinc foil anodes. However, the practical implementation of ZnP anodes is hindered by challenges including unstable electrical contacts, pronounced polarization, corrosion, and nonuniform Zn deposition. This mini‐review systematically summarizes recent advances in ZnP anodes for AZBs, with a focused discussion on regulation strategies, including crystallographic engineering, interfacial engineering, electrode architecture design, and electrolyte engineering. Key challenges and prospective research directions are outlined to guide the rational design and practical deployment of ZnP anodes.
