While feature films and television dramas are advancing toward the post-film and post-TV-drama era, driven by the rapid development of digital media technologies and shifts in user consumption habits, micro-dramas—new internet-based content formats—have seen their market size surpass that of the traditional film industry. As an emerging content form, micro-dramas are rapidly capturing audiences’ mobile screens at a staggering speed and evolving into another backbone of the film and television industry. The emerging production model of audio-visual content and the paradigm shift in user consumption have exerted far-reaching impacts on the ecosystem of the traditional media industry. By examining the paradigm innovations within the micro-drama industry, this paper analyzes the current market status of micro-dramas and explores innovative integration models and development prospects for combining micro-dramas with archaeological cultural tourism.
