The development of the new globalized world, the processes of digitalization and internationalization of relations have fundamentally changed the requirements for professional training in international relations.Modern specialists are expected not only to be advanced users of foreign languages but also to be communicatively competent in an intercultural setting, digitally literate, professionally flexible and able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.In this regard, ESP has become more than teaching the language of the profession.It has become an integral part of professional education aimed at engaging students competent participants in global communication processes.The aim of the present study is to prove the pedagogical and methodological potential of professionally oriented English language teaching in international relations by means of a comprehensive educational approach that takes into account linguistic, intercultural, professional, analytical and digital competencies.The present study employs theoretical methods of research which include analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematization, and generalization of recent research works of scholars on the topic of ESP methodology, intercultural communication, digital learning environments, and competency-based education.The current study lays a particular emphasis on the role of intercultural communicative competence as a major learning outcome in the preparation of future international relations specialists...
