Extreme natural disasters often cause severe damage to the integrated electric and heating system (IEHS), posing great challenges to reliable energy supply. A coordinated restoration scheme is essential for the IEHS to effectively restore multi-energy load. Therefore, a two-stage restoration scheme considering joint reconfiguration and thermal inertia is proposed to improve the restoration efficiency in this paper. In the first stage (i.e., post-event stage), the fictitious flow model is employed to realize the joint reconfiguration of the electrical power system (EPS) and district heating system (DHS), and mass flow rates of pipes in DHS are adjusted with the constant flow variable temperature (CFVT) strategy. In the second stage (i.e., restoration stage), the quasi-dynamic model considering thermal inertia is employed for the DHS operation. To linearize the nonlinear terms caused by the quasi-dynamic model in DHS after reconfiguration, the Big-M method and auxiliary variables are introduced to make the proposed model as a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model. Case studies are conducted and the results show that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce the total restoration cost and enhance the restoration efficiency of IEHS.
