Responsive Soft Actuators In Research Article e02394, Tiefeng Li, Geng Yang and co-workers present a bio-inspired electrohydraulic soft actuator with intrinsic self-sensing capability, inspired by the touch-responsive motion of Mimosa pudica. The system integrates electrohydraulic actuation with capacitive sensing, enabling fast, large-amplitude, and reversible sensing–deformation response cycles. This tightly coupled sensing–actuation mechanism underscores its promising potential for responsive and intelligent soft robotic systems.
