Six undescribed oxyneolignans, magoxylignols A–F (1–6), were isolated from Magnolia officinalis var. biloba. Their structures were elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses. Compounds 1–6, the first examples of dimeric oxyneolignans reported in M. officinalis var. biloba, were formed by linking honokiol- or magnolol-derived units through an additional C3 side chain. Evaluation of the isolates for anti-inflammatory effects revealed that 1–5 significantly inhibited lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 macrophages, exhibiting IC50 values ranging from 4.85 to 6.63 μM.
