Concise Synthesis of a High-Energy and Insensitive Fused [5,5,5,6]-Tetracyclic Furazan Energetic Material via Synchronous Cyclization

A fused [5,5,5,6]-tetracyclic furazan energetic compound was concisely synthesized via synchronous cyclization, which possesses a high density (1.968 g·cm –3 at 100 K, 1.914 g·cm –3 at 298 K), a good stability ( IS: 40 J, FS: 192 N, T d: 262 °C) and a satisfactory energy performance ( Dv: 8590 m·s –1, P: 31.0 GPa). Generally, this compound has a better stability than all the reported energetic fused [5,5,5,6]-tetracyclic compounds and an energy performance comparable to that of benzotrifuroxan (BTF).
