Cytheropteron aff. lanceae Yasuhara, Stepanova, Okahashi, Cronin & Brouwers, 2018 Remarks. Cytheropteron aff. lanceae may include specimens of C. lanceae Yasuhara, Stepanova, Okahashi, Cronin & Brouwers, 2018 and C. irizukii Yasuhara, Stepanova, Okahashi, Cronin & Brouwers, 2018. Both species have a relatively small, moderately calcified carapace with highest height at the middle, a subrhomboidal outline in lateral view, and carry a very long spine on the apex of the ala. To prevent misidentifications, we pooled both species.
