Research on Intelligent Auxiliary Assessment of Nonlinear Regional Power Grid Dispatch Risk

Grid dispatching is the core of economic operation and control of power systems. Effective risk management in dispatching is an integral element of overall grid risk governance, and risk assessment serves as the essential link between risk identification and mitigation. This paper focuses on regional power grids and explores how preemptive intelligent-assisted risk assessment enhances dispatching risk management and early-warning capabilities under the nonlinear operating conditions induced by high renewable-energy penetration. Using the Xi’an power grid as a case study, this research applies a hazard-assessment method to intelligently evaluate dispatching risks for a specified operational scenario and to categorize the risk warning levels. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach supports regional grid risk control by transforming the grid dispatching risk management from reactive to proactive, thereby improving operational resilience and overall reliability.
