Depression is a common mental disorder significantly impacting daily functioning. Standard treatments include drugs, talking therapies, or a combination of both. Treatment selection relies on scientific evidence from clinical research and systematic reviews, though the reliability of this evidence can vary. The objective of this project is to evaluate evidence from systematic reviews for first-line pharmacological and psychological treatments for depression in terms of quality of conduct and reporting, risk of bias, spin, robustness of meta-analytical results, and heterogeneity and clinical diversity.
