SAND2025-14365O AgriSolar Estimator is a Python-based tool designed to create and use reduced-order models for estimating insolation on bifacial solar arrays and ground in agrivoltaic installations, which involve solar panels placed over crops. The tool aids in design choices for solar power systems co-located with crop production and reduces computation associated with predicting power and crop production for various solar panel configurations. Sandia National Laboratories is a multimission laboratory managed and operated by National Technology & Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc., for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration under contract DE-NA0003525.
