Protracheoniscus nivalis Verhoeff (Figures 1 (C), 2, 7, 8) Protracheoniscus (Protracheoniscus) nivalis Verhoeff, 1936, p. 188 –190, figs. 1–7. Material examined 7 males, 3 females, CHINA: Xizang Autonomous Region, Zhada County, south-west of Duojidong (31.24°N, 79.42°E), 4030 m, 27 July 2023, leg. Quanyu Ji, nos. 20230727001–20230727007. Redescription Body colour in alcohol brown yellow, dorsum granulated, bearing irregular yellow muscle spots (Figure 1 (C)). Noduli laterales on pereonites 3–4 farther from lateral margins than those on other pereonites (Figures 7 (A) and 8(G)). Cephalon with arched median lobe, lateral lobe nearly as long as median lobe (Figure 7 (A)). Antennula of 3 articles; third article bearing a tuft of aesthetascs at apex (Figure 8 (A)). Antenna with fifth article of peduncle longer than flagellum, flagellum with proximal article slight longer than distal one (Figure 7 (B)). Pereonite 1 sinuous on posterior margin, postero-lateral corners of pereonites 1–3 nearly right-angled, pereonites 4–7 with acute postero-lateral corners and directed backwards (Figures 1 (C) and 7(A)). Pereopod 1 with brush of long bifurcated setae on carpus and merus (Figure 7 (C)). Pereopod 6–7 scattered with setae on sternal margin of merus and carpus (Figure 7 (D,)). Left mandible with molar process carrying 3 teeth and lacinia mobilis with straight edge; pars molaris consisting of several plumose setae on a short common socket (Figure 8 (B)).
