The ASTRI telescope, developed within the framework of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA), features a novel readout and control electronics system designed to support high-throughput and precision requirements of gamma-ray astrophysics. The readout architecture is centered around a Back-End Electronics (BEE) unit based on a Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ SoC, integrating programmable logic and a processing system running Linux. This system coordinates the acquisition and control functions through dedicated high-speed (DAQ) and low-speed (slow control) interfaces.
