Dissociated ammonia (NH 3 ) has garnered significant research interest in recent years due to its potential to address the poor combustion performance of NH 3 and alleviate safety concerns associated with hydrogen (H 2 ) storage and transportation. However, studies on laminar combustion characteristics of dissociated NH 3 under elevated temperatures and pressures are scarce. To fill this data gap, the laminar burning velocity (LBV) of dissociated NH 3 was measured under varying initial temperatures (293–433 K), pressures (1–5 atm), equivalence ratios (0.6–2.0), and dissociation degrees (0–1.0) in this work. Four NH 3 kinetic mechanisms were validated against the new experimental data. A notable deviation of simulation values from the experimental data was observed at 433 K and 5 atm. The influence of H + O 2 (+M) = HO 2 (+M) on LBV was revealed. This work provides the first experimental data on LBV for dissociated NH 3 under high temperature and pressure conditions, revealing the differences in the applicability of kinetic mechanisms across different conditions and establishing a basis for mechanistic refinements.
