Integrated Eight-Channel WDM Receiver Utilizing Plasmonic Graphene Photodetectors Enabling Line Rates >800 Gbit/s

We demonstrate co-integration of high-speed plasmonic graphene photodetectors with silicon photonic arrayed waveguide gratings. Data transmission of 816 Gbit/s aggregated line rate is achieved with our$1 \times 8$wavelength demultiplexing receiver. The concept shows promise as new high-speed and low-cost multi-wavelength receiver solution for short-distance telecommunication.
