High-Speed Free-Space Electro-Optic Modulator Using Double-Layered Dimerized Nanometallic Grating

Free-space organic electro-optic modulator with double-layered dimerized nanometallic grating is demonstrated for the first time. We achieve enhanced modulation efficiency and 4-GHz modulation bandwidth for a$100 \times 100 \mu m^{2}$device, which can be increased beyond several tens of GHz by reducing the size. ©2025 The Author(s)
