As the main carrier of current new energy applications, hydrogen fuel cells have clear industry regulations that the content of ammonia in fuel hydrogen shall not exceed 0.1 &mu ; mol /mol. Ammonia has special properties, and metals have a significant adsorption effect on it, which makes it difficult to detect trace amounts of ammonia. This article mainly relies on the technology of combining a fully automatic variable temperature concentration and analysis device with a gas chromatograph to analyze trace amounts of ammonia in hydrogen gas. Optimization experiments are conducted on parameters such as concentration, volume, and analytical temperature to achieve the desired enrichment effect. Compared with direct injection of gas chromatography, the detection limit of ammonia in hydrogen is significantly reduced, and the repeatability is good after using a variable temperature concentration device. This method provides an efficient and accurate chromatographic analysis method for detecting the ammonia content and excess ammonia in fuel hydrogen.
