Bio-Inspired Nanoengineered Wood The remarkable olfactory abilities of insects arise from the sophisticated interplay between their porous antenna structures and olfactory receptors. Drawing inspiration from this natural phenomenon, this research transforms abundant natural wood into nano-engineered wood with highly efficient toxic gas detection capabilities. The material's unique structural design allows for large-scale production through simple cutting techniques, showcasing promising potential for IoT applications.
