Additive-free synthesis of α-keton thiol esters via oxyacylthiolation of vinyl azides with thioacids and water

A simple method has been developed for the construction of α-keton thiol esters through oxyacylthiolation of vinyl azides with thioacids and water. The C–S and CO bonds were formed in a one-pot operation through a radical reaction pathway.
