• Since the global call to eliminate cervical cancer was initiated in 2018, there have been few studies assessing the early global impact of this strategy and forecasting future trends. ( Innovativeness ) • Cervical cancer is a unique disease, being the first type of cancer to be targeted for global elimination in human history. Therefore, analyzing and predicting the epidemiological trends of this disease under the context of the WHO’s global strategy is particularly crucial. ( Necessity ) • The epidemiology of cervical cancer varies significantly across different regions globally. Given that the WHO’s strategy to eliminate cervical cancer is a worldwide initiative, it is essential to consider the impact of regional disparities. This study, based on GBD data, reveals the inequalities in the epidemiology of cervical cancer between regions and countries and specifically identifies some countries with significant health potential, providing guidance for the direction of future strategy implementation. ( Importance ) Cervical cancer remains a major global public health challenge. In 2018, the WHO launched a strategy to eliminate cervical cancer, emphasizing the need for precise epidemiological assessments. This study utilized Global Burden of Disease (GBD) data to analyze the epidemiological indicators, geographical patterns, and temporal trends of cervical cancer, evaluating the global impact of the WHO’s strategy. Data on cervical cancer from 204 countries and territories (fro...
