A Multi-Output Dual-Frequency Wireless Power Transfer System with Constant-Voltage Characteristic

To address the needs of multiple constant-voltage (CV) sources, this paper proposes a dual-frequency modular wireless power transfer (WPT) system with galvanic isolation. The topology is cascaded from multiple series-series (S-S) topologies. The resonant frequencies with CV characteristic of S-S topology are obtained using decoupled equivalent circuit. An integrated band-pass filter network is designed to realize power control and soft switching. A magnetic coupler consisting of printed circuit board (PCB) coils is designed and optimized in finite element simulation software. A simulation model is built to validate the effectiveness of the proposed system. Selective power transfer is demonstrated. The system achieves an output voltage with a maximum variation of no more than 2.058%.
