Predictive Value of Hemodynamic Forces Derived from Cardiac Magnetic Resonance in Adverse Ventricular Remodeling

Motivation: Early identification of adverse ventricular remodeling post-MI is crucial for improving patient outcomes. Goal(s): To assess the predictive value of HDF metrics derived from CMR for ventricular remodeling. Approach: Forty-five patients were analyzed, with HDF metrics and strain parameters computed from CMR cine imaging and compared between groups with and without adverse remodeling. Results: Significant HDF metrics, particularly systolic and atrial thrust in L-S and A-B directions, showed high predictive potential (AUC up to 0.99), suggesting their utility for non-invasive, early identification of patients at risk for adverse ventricular remodeling. Impact: HDF metrics from CMR cine imaging provide a novel, non-invasive approach for predicting adverse ventricular remodeling, with high predictive accuracy, supporting personalized patient management and early intervention strategies.
