Utilization of Paragonix LIVERguard® Donor Organ Transport System for Static Hypothermic Preservation of a Multivisceral Allograft

Background: Multivisceral (MVT) transplants are highly sensitive to ischemia/reperfusion injury. Traditionally, static cold storage is used to transport intestines but presents risk of graft damage. There are no preservation devices to meet the unique needs of MVT grafts. We report on the first use of Paragonix LIVERguard® Liver Transport System for the static old storage of a MVT allograft.
