Research on transient energy storage capacity of CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 perovskite towards micro type laser

A passively Q-switched Tm:YAP laser based on a CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 /MoS 2 heterojunction saturable absorber has been demonstrated to verify the transient energy storage capacity of the CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 perovskite and is promising for integration of tiny laser systems. Under an absorbed pump power of 5.75 W, the optimized pulse repetition rate, pulse duration, single pulse energy and peak power were measured to be 100.32 kHz, 755.8 ns, 24.02 µJ and 31.79 W, respectively. Compared with other state-of-the-art heterojunction or perovskite-based lasers, the pulse energy shows a remarkable improvement. It can be concluded that the CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 perovskite possesses excellent transient energy storage capacity, which is beneficial in pulse energy enhancement of pulsed lasers.
