Methodology for assessing the benefits of shared energy storage systems considering the whole life cycle

Addressing the inadequacy of existing life-cycle benefit evaluation methods for shared energy storage systems, proposing an improved Vlse Kriterijumsk Optimizacija Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method that integrates the Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) method with the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method. Firstly, a comprehensive evaluation system based on economic, environmental, market, and social benefits is established according to the operational mode of shared energy storage systems. Secondly, subjective weights are obtained by inviting experts to score based on the ANP method, while objective weights are derived by calculating the correlation of data using the CRITIC method. Subsequently, a combination weighting method is employed to integrate the weights determined by both CRITIC and ANP methods, resulting in composite weights for each indicator. Finally, to overcome the limitation of traditional VIKOR methods in presenting results in a singular form, an improved VIKOR method is introduced by modifying the calculation of benefit ratios for target scenarios. This modification provides a more intuitive reflection of the development trend of shared energy storage systems and enables horizontal and vertical comparisons among different scenarios.
