Principles and methods for designing high-performance skid-resistant sealing for rolling based on digital image algorithms

Road skid resistance is critical for traffic safety, but existing service roads often fail to meet modern standards. The Authors tested high-performance skid-resistant sealing (HPSS) and proposed a method for designing material composition and dosage. Using digital image algorithms, they analyzed the effects of steel wheel rolling (SWR) and rubber wheel rolling (RWR) on aggregate embedding in HPSS. Results showed both processes improved embedding by over 9.5%, with SWR promoting smoother surfaces and RWR maintaining roughness. The study confirms that both methods enhance aggregate embedding, offering a reliable solution for improving road safety and durability.
