Backgrounds: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a hepatic disorder strongly linked to metabolic syndrome. The incidence of NAFLD has been increasing in recent years, presenting a substantial challenge to public health worldwide. Recent research indicates that a combination of genetic predispositions, environmental influences, and lifestyle factors may affect the onset and progression of NAFLD. These findings underscore the necessity of further investigation into the underlying mechanisms of NAFLD to enhance prevention, diagnosis, and management strategies.
