A Geometric Approach on Quasisum Production Models in Microeconomics

ABSTRACT Quasisum production functions are an important class of production models in economics and management used to analyze and optimize the production process for efficient resource allocation. In this study, we establish a connection between quasisum production functions and the minimality of hypersurfaces in differential geometry, leading to a complete classification of quasisum production functions with minimal production hypersurfaces for an arbitrary number of inputs. Moreover, we classify minimal separable hypersurfaces in Euclidean space , a transformation of quasisum production hypersurfaces, into hyperplanes, quadratic cones, higher dimensional catenoids, or , where is a Scherk surface.
