Abstract Designing multidimensional structures of polymetallic nanocomposites has long been considered an effective way to improve polarization loss. Electromagnetic wave absorbers of different dimensions are prepared by electrospinning and high‐temperature heat treatment. The 2D layered double hydroxide nanosheets are transformed into 1D metal–organic skeleton nanorods, and finally into 3D coral‐like porous fibers covered with 0D nanoparticles. The coral‐like fiber morphology and FeNi magnetic particles make the composite material have good impedance matching, multiple scattering reflection, conduction loss, interface polarization, thus showing excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance. In addition, the unique 3D structure expands the propagation path and contributes to the further attenuation of electromagnetic waves. The material with multidimensional structure has the best absorbing performance, especially when the matching thickness is 2.2 mm, and the minimum reflection loss (RL min ) can reach −52.93 dB, effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) can cover 7.12 GHz at 2.0 mm. The results show that multidimensional composites have potential application prospects as practical electromagnetic wave‐absorbing materials.
