Photocatalyzed 18 F-Fluorination: A Streamlined Radiolabeling Approach for Rapid Adoption and Automation

In this work, we established a simplified photoredox-mediated labeling system that allows the rapid aryl 18 F–fluorination of functional electron-neutral and electron-rich arenes via 19 F– 18 F exchange and/or deoxyfluorination without azeotropic drying, applying a HPO 4 2– preconditioned anion exchange resin. The labeling reaction can be performed with the whole eluted 18 F – other than a portion and has been verified on a radiosynthesis module. The simple reaction setup with all commercially available reagents and inexpensive equipment guarantees reproducibility and quick adoption.
