Group IIIA Metal-Capped {M 2 (H 2 O)[P 4 Mo 6 O 31 ] 2 }-Based Phosphomolybdates (M = Al 3+ , Ga 3+ )

Group IIIA metal Al 3+ /Ga 3+ -capped {M 2 (H 2 O)[P 4 Mo 6 O 31 ] 2 }-based phosphomolybdates were synthesized by adjusting the reducing agents, in which two [P 4 Mo VI 4 Mo V 2 O 31 ] 8– half-units are joined in a face-to-face mode and are capped by two M 3+ /[M(H 2 O)] 3+ cations on both sides. This type of {M 2 (H 2 O)[P 4 Mo 6 O 31 ] 2 } hybrids showed excellent photocatalytic activities in the Cr(VI) reduction reaction.
