Synchrotron Radiation X-ray Scattering Approaching Real Industrial Processing of Polymer

Synchrotron radiation X-ray scattering techniques have become powerful tools for multi-scale structural characterization, making significant contributions to polymer research. Recent advancements in these techniques have made it possible to conduct in-situ experiments during polymer processing. In this review, we examine the foundational developments in the application of synchrotron radiation X-ray scattering to in-situ polymer processing experiments. We focus on the design of specialized in-situ instruments tailored for various processing methods and discuss their associated experimental outcomes. Finally, we highlight future challenges and key issues that require attention. We hope that our insights will inspire further discussion and exploration among researchers in this field.
