Gradient oxygen vacancy engineering of RuO 2− x for efficient acidic water oxidation

RuO 2 nanoparticles with gradient oxygen vacancy were synthesized. The special distribution of oxygen vacancies optimizes the adsorption of oxygen intermediates and stabilizes the structure for acidic oxygen evolution reaction.
