A Partial Band Self-interference Cancellation Scheme for Sub-band Full Duplex

Sub-band full-duplex has gained attention in SG-advanced network owing to its flexibility in spectrum management, and one of its fundamental technologies is self-interference cancellation (SIC). However, when the power amplifier (PA) is driven near the saturation to purse high power transferring efficiency, conventional SIC methods almost lose their capability completely. Therefore, a novel SIC structure is presented in pur-suit of green communication (with high efficiency and low power consumption), which mainly includes a partial band digital pre-distortion (PB-DPD) method and a strong digital SIC for partial band (PSD-SIC) scheme. The experimental results show that the proposed structure can provide a performance improvement of more than 10dB when compared with conventional DPD schemes at the transmitting end. Moreover, it can achieve a similar SIC result to the full band digital SIC scheme with a lower sampling rate at the receiving end.
