An integrated strategy for corncob pretreatment and coproduction of furfural and monosaccharides based on p -toluenesulfonic acid and a deep eutectic solvent system

An integrated process was developed for coproduction of multiple products from corncob. Overall, 14.6 g FF, 33.3 g reducing sugars, and 11.5 g lignin were obtained from 100 g corncob, which were suitable for upgrading to multifunctional chemicals.
