Ligand-induced changes in the electrocatalytic activity of atomically precise Au 25 nanoclusters

Using ligand-protected Au 25 nanoclusters as a prototype model, we demonstrated that hydrophilic ligands enhance the hydrogen evolution reaction while hydrophobic ligands improve the efficiency of CO 2 electroreduction to CO.
