Cp*Co( iii )-catalyzed ortho -alkylation/alkenylation of anilides

A highly practical and efficient Cp*Co( iii )-catalyzed regioselective C–H alkylation/alkenylation of anilides with maleimides and acrylates was developed, during which a weakly coordinating amide group functioned as the directing group.
