Lithicone-Protected Lithium Metal Anodes Lithium (Li) metal batteries (LMBs) offer high energy density but face issues like reactivity and dendrite growth. In article number 2400174, Xiangbo Meng, Wu Xu, and co-workers show that a novel lithium glycerol protection layer on Li metal anode via molecular layer deposition significantly improves the performance of LMBs with high areal capacity loading in terms of capacity and cycling stability at high current densities, paving a way for practical LMBs.
