The CoS 2 –MgS heterostructure combines the high catalytic activity of CoS 2 (Co 2+ oxidized to Co 3+ ) and the fast Li + migration kinetics of MgS, which significantly improve the C-rate performance and cycling stability of lithium–sulfur batteries.
