Based on the agricultural carbon emissions of 88 counties in Guizhou Province and the digital financial inclusion index provided by the Digital Finance Research Center of Peking University from 2015 to 2022, this study analyzes the effect of the impact of digital financial inclusion on the low-carbon development of agriculture and the transmission paths by using the two-way fixed effect model and the mediated effect model. The influence mechanism test finds that digital inclusive finance has a significant inhibitory effect on the intensity of agricultural carbon emissions, which is proved by both the robustness test and the endogeneity test. Through the mediation effect model, it is found that digital inclusive finance can achieve agricultural carbon emission reduction by promoting agricultural technological progress, which can be expressed as digital inclusive finance promotes the low-carbon development of agriculture by improving the degree of agricultural mechanization.
