Real-Time Electromagnetic and Electromechanical Hybrid Simulation Based on RTLAB-PowerFactory

This article proposes a heterogeneous real-time hybrid simulation method for RTLAB-PowerFactory based on the Functional Mock up Interface (FMI). Firstly, based on the Frequency Dependent Network Equivalence Method (FDNE), the electromechanical side subnetwork and electromagnetic side subnetwork are equivalently modeled. Then, the data exchange information was defined and a large step data extrapolation method was designed to achieve data exchange between models. Finally, using the written C++ software to call the Functional Mock Up Unit (FMU) file, UDP digital communication between PowerFactory and RTLAB simulator was achieved. The correctness of the designed method and simulation platform was verified through IEEE39 node system testing.
