Enhancing Security and Privacy in Healthcare: A Conceptual Model

The usage of digital devices and systems has observed a rush for communication and interconnectivity. This usage and trend found substantial application in many fields, such as innovative healthcare, the production industry, smart homes, and automation. There was/is a tremendous effect of integrating digital devices that have eased seamless relations and improved proficiency in digital areas. E-health, smart health-care, telemedicine, and other technological developments in the healthcare industry benefit doctors, patients, administrations, and healthcare stakeholders. The maximum usage of technology has come with new challenges and issues related to healthcare security and privacy. In this literature, we will find the legislation and governing body’s laws, some opportunities, research trends, challenges, and solutions related to security and privacy in healthcare systems. We also provide a conceptual model for addressing the challenges associated with security and privacy in the healthcare environment.
