Polyetherimide (PEI) nanocomposite with WS 2 nanotubes

Nanocomposite fibers of polyetherimide with axially aligned WS 2 nanotubes were synthesized and studied. Increased nanotubes content notably enhanced strain hardening. Post-strain analysis unveiled nanocrystalline film surrounding the WS 2 nanotubes.
