Bright green electroluminescence with an EQE of 4.6% from a host–guest OLED fabricated from an unsymmetric liquid crystalline N -annulated perylene ester imide as a dopant

Bay N -annulated perylene diester imide, with a swallow tail at one end and straight chains at the other end, exhibited a stabilized columnar hexagonal phase, and showed a bright green electroluminescence of 5269 cd m −2 and EQE max of 4.6%.
