Evaluation of tourism development level of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of Yangtze River based on entropy weight method

In order to promote the integrated development of tourism in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, it is necessary to know the development level of tourism in each city. This paper selects indicators from four aspects: tourism resources, tourism industry development conditions, tourism market demand, and tourism industry benefits. The entropy weight method is used to give weights to measure the tourism development level of 31 cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. The research shows that the main factors affecting the tourism development level of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are, in order of weight, tourism market demand, tourism industry benefits, tourism resources and tourism industry development conditions. According to the entropy weight obtained from the calculation results, among the 31 cities in the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the tourism development level can be divided into four echelons. Finally, the characteristics of each city's tourism development level are analyzed, and the countermeasures for the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to improve the tourism development are put forward.
